New Skills

Many veterans knows the old skill system and how it works, but we made a lot of changes. Not only we added several new skills like the crafting ones but we also changed completely how some.Here is a comprehensive list of changes/novelties

First and foremost, every class will have 2 extra skillpoints from the standard since we increased the need of skills in the server (for example, swashbuckler have 6 skillpoints instead of 4)

-Appraise: It will modify the price only of the most valuables items the merchant has to sell. Furthermore will slightly influence the possibility of the merchants having special goods for sale to the character

-Balance/Climb: Environmental skills. There will be some areas where these skills will allow to easily cross or reach places.

-Crafting: Several different functions (see ⁠Craft )

-Decipher Scripture:Allows to translate and comprehend books, scrolls and writings otherwise incomprehensibile. This is the only way to unlock special location/classes/items lore

-Lore(History) : With the new Lores System (check index under Character Mechanics) the old skills have become obsolete, but we kept some macro categories for RP purpouses and give them some opportunities to generate a RDG in the future (check index under Game World Mechanics). This one involves everything history related on the Forgotten Realms: noble lineages, battles happened, the story of a special npc etc

-Lore(Geography) : With the new Lores System (check index under Character Mechanics) the old skills have become obsolete, but we kept some macro categories for RP purpouses and give them some opportunities to generate a RDG in the future (check index under Game World Mechanics). This one involves everything geographically related on Toril and beyond including animals: city demography, type of plants and fruits one can find in the wilderness,fire plane typical traits etc:

-Lore(Religion) : With the new Lores System (check index under Character Mechanics) the old skills have become obsolete, but we kept some macro categories for RP purpouses and give them some opportunities to generate a RDG in the future (check index under Game World Mechanics). This one involves everything related to the gods and the spiritual world of Toril and beyond included monsters like undead and outsiders: a specific god's church costumes, recognising symbols or relics of faith, knowing the doctrines of a religion etc

-Lore(Magical Items) : With the new Lores System (check index under Character Mechanics) the old skills have become obsolete, but we kept some macro categories for RP purpouses and give them some opportunities to generate a RDG in the future (check index under Game World Mechanics). This one involves everything related to magic, included magical beasts and items: itenfity an unknown item, recognising golems, the most prominent magic academy in the city, etc

-Lore(Architecture) : With the new Lores System (check index under Character Mechanics) the old skills have become obsolete, but we kept some macro categories for RP purpouses and give them some opportunities to generate a RDG in the future (check index under Game World Mechanics). This one involves everything related to architectural informations of a place, including worked stone (like dungeons or underground fortress)

-Falsify: Is the opposite of Decipher Scripture. It will allow people to forge maps/lorebooks when, in actuallity, have no value (to be implemented)

-Gather Information: It allows players to learn more about recent happenings in the surrounding area. Used for the main purpous on the server to generate RGD (see RGD) and roleplay situations

-Heal: Now it will not only cure poison,disease and hp lost, from every 5 ranks will heal an additional condition. For example from 5 will restore ability score damage. From 10 will restore ability score drain and so on.

-Parry: It works now similarly to Tumble. It will grant +1 AC (dodge) bonus each 5 ranks. It will not work if the character is wearing a shield (except bucklers)

-Search:Monsters and enemies will always be lootable and depending on a search roll result the chances of dropping better things are slightly higher for important items and always higher reward in coins

-Speak Languages:spending points will not unlock new languages. Instead, having ranks in this skill will allow to comprehend the spoken language of a creature, regards your character has knowledge of that language or not. Unless one has severely invested in this skill, the player will be able to comprehend few words in a sentence (those that have invested heavily in this skill may arrive to fully comprehend everything)

-Survival: Will work at usual plus have two functions: will allow to create some basic food and repair basic items (tier 0 only) and every 5 ranks in this skill will give a slight better chance of making you stabilize at your death rolls

- Sense Motive: At the moment this ia pure roleplay skill and is used to perceive when something is wrong during a discussion or that another is trying to deceive your character
