Adventure Types

There are a lot of activities that players can engage while Online and many of them are random or automatic. There are 5 kind of "questing" that players will be able to do. All of them are for the player discretion to go along with or just ignore (fair warning though, ignoring the Main Plot may have light consequences in RP on the long run)

- *Main Plot*
There will be a main story going for the first two years of the server (at least we planned a lot far ahead and think is enough for 2 years) and they will be available to all adventurer characters (check the Artisan of Waterdeep to understand difference between citizen and adventurer). This will be (further more) divided in two kinds:

- Automatic: they will be in the diary/log of the character and have the special tag [CHAPT] (or PROLOGUE in the starting area) and is up to the players if continue throught the story or not

- DevelopersDriven: There will be planned events holded during the months and they will be managed 50% by the server and 50% by those that unlocked the DM system of a certain rank. These events will have a bigger impact than the automatic system and will grant also bigger rewards...but bigger the reward, bigger the risk!

- *Module Adventures*
Players will be able to implement their own adventures and maps throught the DM system and we call these Module Adventures. There will be a section on discord available to plot study and planning and some billboards In Game that will show a list of posts made by the citizens of Waterdeep or factions (guilds/noble houses/army etc) with requests of aid from adventurers. In short, and more factual, those that have unlocked the DM can post there their ideas for adventures and players can sign up to partake. It will be at the discretion of the one holding the adventure on how many bring in their module (check "DM System" in the Index for more details)

- *Tasks*
They are classic "fetch" quests. They have a specific level range to be delivered for full reward, otherwise it will be halfed if one gets outside the level range, they will have a specific reward as well and out of the range will be halfed too. Some of them may be chained (meaning that there will be a II, III etc) and usually grants special rewards like magic items, rare crafting components or even titles to display next your character name. They are granted by NPC with a yellow ! above their heads

- *Events*
Npcs and monsters AI has been completely changed and improved. Not only guards will be more reactive towards the character reputation and notoriety (for example if you have a negative value of reputation some merchants may refuse to sell some items or guards will roam more often around the character) and some special npcs (that are marked with a white !) will be triggers for events.By aiding or following these npcs the character will be granted some rewards (from small like exp to even points towards reputation/notoriety)

-*City Random Encounters*
There are Npcs scattered around the wards that will require the character aid, they are either called concerned citizens or arguing citizens. By solving their problems, requiring skill checks, the character will be rewarded with some xp or coin. The system per se exist for those players that do not wish to go adventuring all the time or, in case of citizens, to have a stable income of xp/coin at the early levels. In some taverns and inns may also happen that a dialogue will start suddenly while you walk that will put you in a situation to solve that will grant you xp/coin if you manage to solve it
