Name: Bjorn Ulfur

Alias: The Boulderbreaker

Race: Human

Initial Alignment: Neutral Good

Height: 6'4"

Weight/Build: 230 lbs, muscular and broad-shouldered

Age: 27

Eyes: Deep storm-gray

Hair: Long, unkempt dark black with streaks of grey

Deity: Tempus, Lord of Battles

Base Class & Proposed Development: Barbarian - fighter

Notable/Distinguishing Features:

- Jagged scar across his left cheek from an old battle
- Calloused hands like stone from years of wielding weapons and breaking rocks
- Tribal tattoos marking his arms and chest, symbols of his people’s warrior traditions

Appearance:
Bjorn is a towering figure, a man carved from stone and tempered by war. His wild, dark hair, streaked with gray, frames a chiseled face that has known both hardship and triumph. His storm-gray eyes burn with determination, a constant fire within. Clad in sturdy furs and whatever armor he can scavenge, he carries the dust and grit of the road upon him. His presence is imposing, yet there is something steady and reassuring about him a warrior who stands not just on strength, but on unyielding spirit.

Personality Profile:
Bjorn is a man of simple joys and unshakable convictions. He loves a good fight, but he fights for the right reasons—protecting others, proving himself, and honoring the strength of those who came before him. While he can seem rough around the edges, he has a strong sense of camaraderie and a deep respect for those who earn his trust. He despises cowardice, believing that true strength is found in standing for something greater than oneself.

Despite his fierce nature, Bjorn has an odd, almost meditative pastime—breaking rocks. To him, it is both training and a way to clear his mind it's a way to quiet the storm inside.

Background:
Born to the rugged highlands of The Graypeak Mountains, Bjorn was raised among a tribe of fierce warriors who lived and died by the strength of their arms. Unlike many of his kin, he refused to believe that battle was simply about reckless fury. He trained relentlessly, not just in the ways of the barbarian, but in refined combat techniques taught by a wandering swordsman who passed through his village. This mentor—an aging mercenary showed him how to control his power, turning brute strength into precision.

For years, Bjorn served as a protector in training for his people, fending off smaller beasts and any thing else tasked to him. But when a rival warband attacked and scattered his tribe, Bjorn found himself wandering alone. With nothing but his strength and his will, he sought a new purpose.

A caravan bound for Waterdeep offered a path forward. Perhaps, in the great city, he would find battles worthy of his strength, allies who shared his convictions, and a cause that would define him.

Goals:

- Test his strength against mighty foes
- Find a new home and people to protect
- Prove that a warrior’s worth isn’t just in rage, but in discipline

Enemies:

- Those who exploit the weak for power
- His own doubts—wondering if his strength alone is enough to shape his fate

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:

- Bjorn’s former mentor may still be alive somewhere in the world, and Bjorn seeks him out.
- The rival warband that destroyed his home may have set their sights on Waterdeep or a nearby settlement.
- Despite being a barbarian, he has an odd respect for monks, seeing similarities between their discipline and his own.
- Occasionally, he carves symbols into the rocks he smashes remnants of his tribe’s traditions.
