Background: Fizbin was born under the silent gaze of the moon, in a small village nestled deep within an ancient forest. His adoptive father, an elven scholar, and his mother, a devout human priestess of Eldath, had always hoped their child would one day follow in their footsteps. However, Fizbin's birth was no ordinary event—it was said that his arrival was marked by an omen: a faint but unmistakable glow surrounding him, as though the Springs of Peace itself had chosen him.
Though he was raised in the peaceful embrace of the temple, his childhood was marked by tragedy. At the tender age of 8, Fizbin witnessed the merciless razing of his village by marauders who sought to steal the sacred relics of Eldath. During the attack, his parents were slaughtered protecting the temple, leaving Fizbin to fend for himself in the aftermath. He was discovered by a wandering paladin named Darian Steelheart, a man of unwavering faith and discipline, who took him in and became his mentor.
In the years that followed, Fizbin grew under Darian's tutelage. He taught him not just the ways of the divine, but the importance of stoicism, self-discipline, and protection. Darian's teachings emphasized that true strength came from silence in the face of chaos and peace in the midst of conflict. Fizbin embraced these lessons, though he was never one for many words. His devotion to Eldath and the ideals of protection became his guiding light, unshakable, and his resolve unwavering.
Fizbin’s faith was not without its trials. As he journeyed into the wider world, he became increasingly aware of the suffering that pervaded the lands. It was not only the forces of darkness that threatened peace but also the apathy and greed that lay in the hearts of mortals. He had no interest in politics or grand speeches; his calling was simple: to protect those in need, to defend the innocent, and to heal those wounded by both sword and soul.
His armor, worn and weathered, bears the symbol of Eldath, ever glowing faintly in the darkest of nights as a reminder of his mother. His solemn, quiet nature often confounds others, but it is said that the moment his gaze settles on someone in pain, a sense of peace washes over them, as if the weight of their suffering is lifted for just a moment. In battle, he moves with the grace and precision of a storm, unwavering and implacable. His silence in combat is his strength; he speaks only when absolutely necessary, for his actions—both in the healing of wounds and the vanquishing of foes—speak volumes.
Though Fizbin’s countenance is serene, those who know him well can sense the deep scars of his past. The loss of his family and the memories of the burning village are his silent burden. He guards those memories with a stoic resolve, never allowing himself to speak of the horrors he witnessed as a child. However, in his heart, a burning desire to shield others from such devastation remains his true mission.
Fizbin now wanders the lands, ever faithful to his deity, Eldath, seeking out those who need his protection. He has made it his personal vow to never again let innocent lives be destroyed by the cruelty of the world. While others may falter or give into despair, Fizbin stands ever vigilant, a quiet sentinel in the dark, his presence a shield against the chaos that threatens the light.
His companions know that while he may not always offer words of comfort, they can rely on his unwavering protection—his actions speak louder than any prayer.
Through his adventures, his travels soon took him to waterdeep to aid those who were in need.
