HOW TO START
To begin with, any wannabe guild leader MUST own a piece of land or structure where can place a guild. Either in the City or outside of it but must have legitimate ownership of it (prices vary depending from the location chosen, contact the staff to the final price)
These are the rules to form a guild
Any player can found a guild provided that:
1)The participants (including the founder) consist of at least 4 real players (secondary/tertiary characters of other players. One character can be in one guild).
2) The guild's purpose/story does not conflict with the server's lore.
3) The group must have, before requesting the guild, a property where the guildstone can be placed. The stone location (which can be changed in the future) will serve as the guild's official headquarters.
The reasons for rule 1 are multiple.
First, among the DM rules on discord, it states:
"The list of characters involved is very important and must be updated in the same post with those that get added/removed from it. Reason being that we want to avoid as much as possible for the same characters to always be involved in multiple plots. If a character is involved in more of 2 plots at the same time, they will be asked from the staff to be removed"
which connects to the second reason: the points that the player gains for that guild (you will seen in a bit as you continue to read) cannto be shared with multiple guilds
the third, is that we want to avoid unsavory situations of spies and people pretending to be in every guild for their own purpouses
the fourth that guilds can conflict with eachother and some may choose OOC relationships instead of IC ones and we want to avoid that at all costs (is a game, but know on which side are you on with your character)
Still, we will not force players to be limited to one guild. Guild leaders may accept a second character of a player in their own, knowing that the first character they have is in another. It will be on their own judgement though if accept the risks involved or not
GUILDSTONE
The guildstone (a placeable resembling a small stone obelisk) is, for all intents and purposes, the heart of the guild. Its destruction is equivalent to the dissolution of the guild. and every operation concerning the guild will be carried out through its interface (so be sure to put the obelisk behind a closed door with a key or in a very protected spot and only officers or the like can access it). The obelisk can be removed and replaced freely
The guildstone will be placed in the structure/land owned and any upgrade to that area will be from now on paid in Guild points. The rule about not being allowed to be in multiple guilds
Once a guild is founded, all upgrades will not be purchased with money but with guild points. This score starts at a specific value equal for all guilds (regardless of the initial number of participants) that is 10 (ten) and increases or decreases based on how guild members play.
The scores are as follow
- The death and respawn of a guild member results in -1 to the score.
- The defeat of a dungeon boss by one or more guild members (at least one guild member was part of the group that killed the boss and gained XP from it) results in +2 to the score.
- Victory in a battle against another guild (of players or NPC) or faction results in +10 to the score
- The recruit of a new member results in a +2 to the score (§)
- The disband of a member (*) results in a -2 to the score
- A DM can assign 1 to 3 points for the completion of a guild-dedicated quest (or a quest there the guild members have done a relevant part)
§ This bonus starts 4 days after the foundation of the guild. Any member recruited before this timespam will not generate points
This score will serve as the currency the guild can "spend" to request dedicated upgrades for their guild.
The guild can obtain anything (deemed reasonable) as long as they have enough points to spend.
This is an example of what can be requested, but as guildleader you can always ask something more and we will evaluate how much to make it cost (we will also expand this list as guilds grows and requests comes)
LIST OF REQUESTS EXAMPLES:
Crafting bench (not for the spellcustom): 3 points
All Crafting Benches (not for the spellcustom): 15 points
Spellcrafting bench: 10 points
A bank vault: 10 points
