Known History of the Realms

This is the known history for every character on the server. Every character has these informations as general knowledge for free and incurs in no penalties by speaking of them in a general way. We still follow the canon history of the realms, in here are detailed only some major events (thanks to Margit for the layout and the beautiful images!)
-1358 DR- The Time of Troubles. Modern scholars consider this event the start of the Era of Upheaval.
-1359 DR- The Tuigan horde invades East Faerûn and eventually reach the Great Dale.
The dragon god Bahamut recovers his divine status thanks to the efforts of Gareth Dragonsbane, who spreads his faith in Damara.
-1360 DR- The Tuigan horde is defeated by the army assembled by King Azoun Obarskyr IV.
-1361 DR- The First Banedeath, an inquisition launched by Cyric and his worshipers, begins as a holy war in Zhentil Keep.
Cordell discovers the continent of Maztica. The Maztican city of Ulatos is taken over by Amnian forces.
-1362 DR- Maligor, Zulkir of Alteration of the Red Wizards of Thay, attempts a failed coup d'etat.
King Bruenor Battlehammer of Mithral Hall abdicates in favor of Gandalug Battlehammer.
The Council Schism in Amn results in the deaths of at least three members of the Council of Six.
-1363 DR- The Battle of Daggerford and the Second Dragonspear War take place in Dragonspear Castle.
Zhentarim forces cause the disappearance of Bron, Lord of Iriaebor, replacing him with their own puppet ruler, "Lord Cutter". Her rule over Iriaebor is harsh and short, as adventurers bring about her downfall by mid-Marpenoth.
The ancient city of Mezro reappears in Chult.
-1364 DR- An adventuring band prevents the return of the Shadowking.
-1365 DR- Alasklerbanbastos and his dragon followers seize control of Threskel, Mordulkin, Mount Thulbane, and other lands of northern Unther.
Thay invades Aglarond.
Talos, god of destruction, attempts to replace worship of the Earthmother of the Moonshae Isles with that of the Faerûnian pantheon.
-1376 DR-
*The Great War*
The news of how and where it begans are few and discordant. Reliable source indicates a location between Baldur's Gate and Elturel, closer to the second.
It started as small skirmishes in the villages but it grew steadily, threatenign Elturel untill it entirely vanished. Noone knows what really happened to it. Towards the end of the year, the Lords Alliance sends scouting parties of adventurers to explore the area, but they never returned. This event marks the start of the war against the darkness or The Great War
-1378 DR-
*The end of the War*
After Elturel disappearance groups of shadow fiends and empty armors ravage the north and the south of the Coast. Baldur's Gade has been raided by a whole army of them and half destroyed,Luskan fell silent, Neverwinter has suffered heavy losses because of the raid parties and even Waterdeep itself was facing annhilation with the army marching further north.
The enemy was stopped near Daggeford by the united forces of the Lords Alliance and their allies.The situation remains a stalemet untill it get resolved thanks to actions led by a group of adventurers.The enemy leaving behind only empty armors and weapons scattered on the ground as a mark of their passage.Noone really knows what happened, where did this army came from or who were those that helped solve the situation, but hope came back through the whole Coast
During this year many changed happened in the City of Splendors. During the rebuilding some more concessions were made to the Guilds and the Noble houses, togheter with the amnesty and protection towards any drow faithful to the Dark Maiden as a reward for "services made to the City and the Lords", causing the city to divide in two on the matter.
Despite everything, this is a time of rebirth for the City

*The Twilight of Waterdeep (Official starting year of the server)*
After the war a great deal of changes underwent in the City of Splendors.The Lord's decreed that the drows of Eillistraee been allowed to free roam the city so long they obey the rules and rumors of them trying to build a New temple is spreading far and wide. Crime rises in the dock ward and is being held from spreading to other wards from mysterious forces. News of hostile creatures and sighting of monsters keep increasing making venturing outside the city extremely dangerous. It is a time of great changes for the Coast more than ever in need of heroes.
