Item Tiers

Let’s shed some light on what they are and what they represent.
Each tier is recognizable by a different color in the name, and is a classification applied to each equipment or gear. Other objects (including ammunition) can also receive the same coloring but in this case it is a classification merely "indicative" and nothing more.

Items can always be repaired by special npcs scattered all over the server. They will repair all the equipment you have currently on you, so if you have multiple weapons be sure to switch between them when repairing

Superior to poor : They have a minimum level where the server expects you to be able to get them (either by crating or by buying or finding in a treasure or monster loot). In these cases the server applies a margin of one level in addition to this before it starts to make considerations. (which have no effect on you except in extreme cases). In general, if your character possess an item of a level you are not supposed to have, it will stack in the total value of your character "wealth" and may influence several things (how much merchants will overcharge their items when selling to you, likely to find rich treasures, monsters will be tougher depending on the gear tier, just to name a few)

This is a countermeasure we decided to take to be sure that even if low level character buys or receive higher level items, they will have something counterbalancing the new "apparent level" they reached.

These are the various tiers and the supposed level they are expected to be obtained.

Poor (Grey color) Represents low quality equip, normally with a penalty of -1 on AC or attack or damage. They can not be repaired if worn and if the gear reaches the maximum breaking value, they are lost. They are the only objects that are basically destroyed by wearing them *

Standard : (White Color) are the basic objects that the server expects the character to start using them from level 2

Improved : (Green Color) are enchanted objects that the server expects the character to start using them from level 4

Enhanced : (Blue color) are enchanted objects that the server expects the character to start using them from level 6

Refined : (Magenta Color) are enchanted objects that the server expects the character to start using them from level 8

Exquisite : (Color Orange) are enchanted objects that the server expects the character to start using them from level 12

Wondrous : (Yellow color) represent the limit of the "standard" crafting and are enchanted objects that the server expects the character to start using them from level 15

Divine : (Cyan Color) are objects that can be classified as artifacts (minor or major), can be crafted but only with a much more complex and expensive procedure than the standard (at the moment, not implemented)
The server expects to start using from level 18

These tiers have also limits on how much they can be improved and enhanced

Standard : (White Color) Max AC Bonus +1 / Max Skill bonus +2 / Max Ability Bonus + / Max Atk bonus +1 / Max Enhancement +1

Improved : (Green Color) Max AC Bonus +2 / Max Skill Bonus +4 / Max Ability Bonus +1 / Max ATK Bonus +1 / Max Enhancement +1

Enhanced : (Blue color) Max AC Bonus +3 / Max Skill Bonus +6 / Max Ability Bonus +2 / Max ATK Bonus +3 / Max Enhancement +3

Refined : (Magenta color) Max AC Bonus +4 / Max Skill Bonus +8 / Max Ability Bonus +3 / Max ATK Bonus +4 / Max Enhancement +4

Exquisite : (Orange color) Max AC Bonus +5 / Max Skill Bonus +10 / Max Ability Bonus +4 / Max ATK Bonus +5 / Max Enhancement +5

Wondrous : (Yellow color) Max AC Bonus +6 / Max Skill Bonus +12 / Max Ability Bonus +5 / Max ATK Bonus +6 / Max Enhancement +6

* There are other types of objects that can be destroyed by wearing them, in those cases their status is made clear in the description of the object.
