Name: Roshnak (No clan name).
Alias: Rokk (It's what he calls himself).
Race: Grey Orc
Initial Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Height: 6'10" - 2.1m
Weight/Build: 438 lb ‒199 kg. Heavy set, while having speed also looks like a freight wagon about to carren out of control.
Age: 22 Years.
Eyes: Red.
Hair: Black.
Deity: None.
Base Class & Proposed Development: Barbarian and Fighter mingled.
Notable/Distinguishing Features: Asside from his size, weight, and the huge greataxe and longbow on his back? Two red and two lighter grey (than his skin) armbards that interweave, one on each bicep. A large deep unproperly treated and therefore angry looking scar runs down his back, from his left shoulderblade, down to his right lower right (Sciatic) region.
Appearance: Information as above, Including grey skin. Long black hair that is loose. Red eyes. Tattoos as described above. Tall and large and heavy set enough to make a fully armored man look.. small. Also tall enough has to duck to go through most standard doors or risk clonking his forehead. Has a nice set of visable lower teeth and tusks that are all a shade of off white to light grey.
Personality Profile: Speaks very little, shows his face about the same. Understands his appearance can cause problems with those who would happily kill his kind. This gives him an air of untrusting or sullen, whether he is or not. Does have a lack of SOME civilised habits and this can, to some, be off-putting... or worse, given his size... overbearing. Keeps a wooden set of wings in under his armor that he is seen sometimes looking at.
Background: The good stuff huh?? okay.
Roshnak, also known as Rokk (It's easier for him to say) is a Grey Orc from the Moonsea plains. Typical of most small clans, his was offered a choice to join into a larger, though more violent clan, and they refused. Normally this would result in being forced to, but a small army along with quite a few adventurers heading through the region came across the scene.. sadly, they did not distinguish the two clans. Every man, woman, and child orc were killed and burned.. well all but one. Rokk was, lucky? to be away elsewhere looking for a new settlement ground in the mountains nearby when all took place, and he returned to a seen of fire, burning bodies, destroyed huts.. and a few human and elf burial sites. Now you would think this would give him rise to target the cities of such.. but even for someone with little teaching of.. well anything other than to break bones, he knew he was one orc.. and now with no clan, an outcast of the societies that govern most orcs. He also could see many orc markings that did NOT belong to his clan, far more than his own people numbered, even with many being burned. He knew what had happened, and that there would have been possibility his leader and shaman to talk their way out of being.. well.. dead. After this he roamed the lands, and headed to a nearby village, though he scared most folk, he was given work and slowly was let in and around the villagers. Here he did not stay but a wagon he was told was on it's way, one that would take him to Waterdeep, a shining city that could.. mayhap, make him more than he knows.. or is. As luck would (or would not?) have it.. As the caravan would arrive, Greenskin orcs decended on the village. It was another massacure, for both sides. The village was decimated, but they weren't the only ones. Rokk had a choice, he could join his brethren, he could defend the village (and maybe die), or he could escape via the caravan master. He chose the option he though would best help him.. he stayed, and faught the greenskins. Not without nearly loosing his life a few times, getting a nasty gash down his back where he was hit with the tip of one of the Orcs axes slashed through his armor. Yet still he fought.. raging as a beserker does.. And in the end. the caravan master and he were left. Once again Rokk saw everything gone. He did manage to find a wooden doll that partially survived the carnage, a childs toy, or what was left of it. He took the wings off the broken doll body and fastened them to his axe, and the two that survived, left. On their way to Waterdeep, the caravan master stopped at one of the villages on his route, and told the orc to stay inside and cover his face. When happy Rokk had done so, he took his axe, and the doll's wings.. with great promise to return the two.. Rokk waited. When the caravan master returned, he gave axe back to Rock, with a steel set of matching wings, (painted pink, strangely) for the little wooden ones affixed by strapping to Rokk's axe, and the original set given to him with glazed coating for protection. They continued on with a few stops towards Waterdeep.
Goals: There isn't a great lot of goals one like Rokk could have. Sure he would seek vengence on the humans and elves that burned and broke his village along with the greater tribe that brought the trouble down on his people.. but that would be folly, and exhausting, even for a barbarian orc of his size. He can't get revenge on the greater tribe, the human's and elves did that for him. So his only.. goal persae now.. is work, build his strength and find a place that accepts one of his race and size... without scaring witless and half to death, every woman and child (and a quite a few of the men too).
Enemies: Grey orcs are, more civilised than most of their green skinned brethren.. but they are still Orcs. As such.. they have enemies of almost every race including their own. They are considered goblinoids but the infighting there is as vicious as going against a dwarven stronghold, due to power struggles. Even though Grey orcs tend to keep to the surface and try to elevate their species out of their bloodthirsty homage.. they are still orcs.. often they will waaarrrgh against each other, other greenskin orcs, and many a village of other species for resources, and a few other unmentionable horrifying to think about.. things. As such, they have enemies everywhere. I'ts also no secret Dwarves and goblinoids (Orcs included) fight worse than cats and dogs... and have done so for almost as long. As for personal enemies, Rokk has none he knows of.. but hey, it's a big wide world out there.. he inveriable could have given someone or something rise to want to challange him.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: This like most of my characters is an open book (giving dm's more power to come up with something out of a given scope), however.. Lets try this.
Rokk (Roshnak) is a Grey Orc and Orcs and everyone (including their own kind and main race [Goblinoid]) fight. That part seems to be genetic code or something.. they can't seem to help themselves as a species, though individually they often prove different.. sometimes.
Rokk lost his entire clan, so no longer uses his clan name or speaks of the name.
Has both a little set of wooden wings and a pink painted steel set affixed to his greataxe.
Keeps his face covered so as to not get pitchforked.
Has seen the loss of both his clan and a village he near died at protecting.
